Manama, Apr. 30 (BNA): Under the patronage of His Majesty the King’s Representative for Charity and Youth Affairs and Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Honorary President HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Late HH Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Al Khalifa Arabian Horseshow was concluded yesterday at the Military Sports Association field in Al Raffa, Sakhir. The final day of the show included remarkable performance by a number of the best Bahraini bred Arabian horses, mares and foals.
Breef President HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa valued the organisers for bringing a successful horseshow, stating that the federation is keen on organising such activities to preserve the sports inherited from the genuine Bahraini culture.
HH Shaikh Faisal hailed His Majesty the King’s Representative for Charity and Youth Affairs and Breed Honorary President HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for patronising HH Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Al Khalifa Arabian Horseshow.
HH Shaikh Faisal noted to the positive interaction of the participants, who are keen on taking part in the event that has become one of the main local and regional equestrian activities. Breef President asserted that the federation is in the process of organising similar events.
Results of the second and final day of the show included five contests of different categories.
In the first mares contest (B), Mare Minwat Al Zubara for the owner Shaikh Abdulrazzaq bin Mohammed Al Khalifa won the first place with the score of 90.33. The second and third places of the same contests went to mares Lamar Al Khawalid and Fatinat Al Race, scoring 89.00 and 87.92 points respectively.
In second contest of mares aged at two years, the first place went to Tallat Al Bashayer for owner Ammar Abduljaleel after scoring 89.42 points, while Kunooz Aalya and Safrat Al Rashidiya with the scores of 89.42 and 89.08.
The third competition included mares aged at three years and was won by Ghadeer Al Shakhura after scoring 89.000 points. Mares Malak Al Rashidiya and Kameela Al Rashidiya were placed second and third in the same contest after they both scored 88 points.
In the steeds aged between 4 – 6 years, Fajr Al Fajr won the first place with the score of 90.75. Najm and Muzon Al Aabid came in the second and third places, scoring 87.92 and 84.83 points.
The final category included steeds aged above 7 years and was bagged by Bedayat Al Furdoos, scoring 87.75 points. In the meantime, the second and third spots went to Malak Al Anood and Sawya, who scored 86.83 and 85.67 points respectively.
