HM King Hamad receives WAFF President

Manama, Apr. 29 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Sakhir Place today President of Jordan Football Association, Vice President of the International Federation of Football on the Asian Continent and President of the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) Prince Ali bin Al-Hussain on the occasion of his visit to Bahrain to attend the 26th meeting of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) General Assembly. Prince Ali bin Al-Hussain conveyed to HM the King the greetings of Jordanian monarch King Abdullah II and his best wishes of further progress and prosperity to Bahrain. HM the King welcomed Prince Ali bin Al Hussain and asked him to convey his greetings to the Jordanian monarch and best wishes of more progress and prosperity to the Jordanian people. HM King Hamad took pride in historic fraternal relations between both countries and their growth mainly in the sport and youth fields. He praised the efforts of Prince Ali bin Hussain to develop football in Jordan, lauding the achievements brought about in various sporting events. He also lauded Prince Ali's key role in developing the work of the International Football Federation, pointing out Bahrain's previous support to him in running for the federation's presidency.
