Improving health services in Capital Governorate discussed

Manama, Apr. 16 (BNA): Health Ministry's Undersecretary Dr. Aysha Mubarak Buaneq received here today the Capital Trustees Board, led by its Chairman Mohammed Ali Al-Khozaie. The undersecretary affirmed the importance of consolidating cooperation and interaction with the Capital Trustees Board in the coming period to coordinate in putting forward plans and programmes to raise awareness and improve the quality of health services provided for the citizens and residents in the Capital Governorate. She called for concerted joint efforts to provide the best services for the citizens. Al-Khozaie valued highly the efforts of the Health Ministry and its keenness to provide health services efficiency, expressing the board's desire to enhance interaction with the relevant government service bodies to serve the citizens and residents in Manama. The meeting also touched upon a number of issues related to public health, including inspection campaigns in old markets and street vendors, working hours at health centres, as well as the need to raise awareness on the need to protect the environment and health facilities.
