HM King receives Saudi Defence Minister

Manama, Apr.13 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa has today received at Al-Rawdha Palace, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, Saudi Defence Minister, Royal Court President and Special Advisor to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. The Saudi minister conveyed to HM the King greetings from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Premier His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, who wished HM the King abundant health and happiness and Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity. HM the King welcomed HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and the accompanying delegation and extended greetings to the Saudi monarch and Crown Prince, wishing Saudi Arabia and its people further progress and prosperity. HM the King took pride in deep-rooted relations bonding the countries, lauding steadily growing cooperation and coordination for the sake of mutual interests. He hailed the historic role of Saudi Arabia, led by the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, stressing its honourable stances to consolidate the march of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), advocate the causes of the Arab and Islamic nations and support pan-Arab joint action. HM the King discussed with HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud regional and international developments, particularly the situation unfolding in Yemen and the military and humanitarian aspects of the Operation Decisive Storm. The two sides lauded Bahrain's participation in Operation Decisive Storm, stressing its constant success on the military level, while taking the humanitarian aspect into consideration. They also underlined efforts to protect civilians, secure humanitarian relief-aid, and evacuate foreign communities in cooperation with relevant international organisations. They also asserted that the Operation Decisive Storm was launched with the aim of restoring stability and development to Yemen and supporting its legitimate leadership and Government towards engaging into a national inclusive dialogue. HM the King hosted a lunch banquet in honour of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and the accompanying delegation. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa welcomed HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, then saw him off as he left Bahrain.
