Crown Prince meets Eastern Province Governor

Manama, Apr. 12 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today arrived in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province and met His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Governor. His Royal Highness travelled to Saudi Arabia via the King Fahd Causeway and was accompanied by Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, and a number of delegates. Upon his arrival, His Royal Highness was welcomed by HRH Prince Saud and a number of senior officials and officers. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman highlighted the long-standing ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, and noted the commitment of both His Majesty King Hamad and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, to further strengthening relations between the two countries. The meeting discussed recent regional issues of mutual interest and efforts to promote peace and security across the region and wider world. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman praised the prominent role of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in unifying views on Arab and Islamic issues. Following the meeting, His Royal Highness attended a banquet convened in his honour by His Royal Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province. Senior members of the Saudi royal family as well as senior officials from Bahrain and Saudi Arabia attended.
