HRH Premier affirms support to youth

Manama, Apr. 12 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Chairman and the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who informed him about the youth and sport programmes and activities in the coming period. HRH Premier praised the key role played by Shaikh Nasser, as SCYS Chairman and BOC President, in promoting the youth and sport movement in Bahrain, hailing the landmark sports achievements and their role in consolidating the kingdom's status at the regional and international arenas. HRH the Prime Minister underlined the importance of developing youth awareness, and directing Bahraini youngsters' talent and creative skills towards boosting the kingdom's development, security and stability, calling for the need to use youth potentials in science and work in order to reach the highest levels of progress that serves Bahrain and its people. HRH Premier asserted that the contributions of the youth and sports movement to the national march have inncreased, affirming the government's constant keenness to enhance the role of such as vital sector out of its belief that youngsters are the assets of the future and a fundamental pillar of society. Shaikh Nasser lauded HRH Premier's role, noting that Bahraini youth can be inspired by his rich experience and dedication in the service of the homeland and learn many of his success stories. He said that many programmes will be launched in the coming period for the aim of upgrading the youth and sport sector within a modern and advanced strategy.
