Saudi ambassador calls for enhancing ties

Manama, Apr. 5. (BNA) – Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain Dr. Abdul Malik Al-Sheikh has affirmed the need to enhance interaction, solidarity and intellectual, cultural and social relations between the brotherly Bahraini and Saudi peoples. In a statement to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) ahead of the Saudi Embassy's Diwaniya, to be held on Tuesday, April 7, the ambassador said the Diwaniya is not held for political reasons, but for cultural and economic ones. He explained that the Diwaniya aims to provide informationa about Saudi Arabia's cultural and social features, natural resources and progress march, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The Diwaniya is usually attended by a number of senior officials, MPs, Shura Council members, intellectuals, businessmen, media perdonnel, and a number of Saudis residing in Bahrain, Saudi students and the Embassy's officials.
