Explosives smuggling reports denied

Manama, Apr. 5. (BNA) -- Director-General of Port Security has stated that recent media reports on the alleged confiscation of explosives from an Iranian ship in Kuwait that was heading to Bahrain are false. The Director-General said he had been in contact with the concerned authorities in Kuwait, and was informed that the ship was carrying chemical products for use in cleaning, and not dangerous explosives. He said the Kuwaiti authorities had told him that Bahrain was not the destination of the ship.
