Queen Elizabeth II confers title of Sir on UAE Ambassador Al-Gurg

London, Dec 18, 2008 (WAM) - Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom has conferred the title of Sir on the UAE Ambassador to the UK Eissa Saleh Al-Gurg. The award of the title comes in recognition of Al-Gurg's eventful diplomatic career during which he represented UAE in UK and worked successfully to bring the two friendly countries closer.

Vice-Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps Sarah Gillette called on the ambassador to inform him about the award on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen.
