Crown Prince meets Philippines Ambassador

Manama, Mar. 24. (BNA) -- His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met His Excellency Mr. Sahid Glang, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Bahrain at Gudaibiya Palace, to mark the end of the Ambassador’s service in the Kingdom. During the meeting, His Royal Highness noted that bilateral relations with Southeast Asian countries are expanding in light of increasing trade cooperation and investment opportunities. His Royal Highness highlighted the steady growth of bilateral ties between the two countries including various partnership agreements that serve to bolster cooperation across a range of sectors including aviation, education, investment and economic development. His Royal Highness went on to affirm Bahrain’s commitment to further increasing coordination and collaboration with the Republic of the Philippines across all levels. He outlined the significant role played by the Ambassador in further enhancing ties between the two countries, and wished him every success in his future duties representing his country. The Ambassador extended his thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness for his continuous support in developing and strengthening ties between Bahrain and the Philippines, praising the support he received throughout his tenure in the Kingdom.
