Abu Dhabi Police to allocate Dh1.3 million to a UN Fund
Abu Dhabi, Dec 17, 2008 (WAM) - In line with the directives of HH Gen. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior, the Abu Dhabi Police is to allocate Dh1.3 million to the United Nations Search and Rescue efforts.
The money is to be allocated from the proceeds of the rare number plate auctions which were held in recent months in Abu Dhabi.
According to Major Mohammed Al Ansari, Head of the Ambulance Section of the Abu Dhabi Police, the donation is part of the efforts of the Abu Dhabi police to lend support to search and rescue operations around the globe.
