Al Dossary snatches BREEF Showjumping Championship grand prix

Manama, Mar. 22. (BNA) -- Bassil Al Dossary claimed the Grand Prix title in the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Showjumping Championship, held under the patronage of BREEF President Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa at the Military Sports Association Field in Al Raffah. Riding his horse Dilmun Air Force, Al Dossary achieved the Grand Prix title in the contest for barriers height 120-130q cm, with the speed of the course set for 350 meters/minute. He completed the course in a total time of 82.36 seconds. Al Dossary was followed by Ali Isa in the second place, riding his horse F-16, as he completed the course in a total time of 91.44 seconds with four faults. In third place was Eyad Ahmed Ali riding his horse Parillo, finishing in a total time of 77.10 seconds and four faults. Fourth place was Sami Ghazwan riding his horse Fayrooz, completing in a total time of 72.23 seconds with eight faults, while Muslim Ali was fifth riding his horse Pascal, completing the course in a total time of 76.82 seconds and eight faults. In the Level 1 Juniors category for barriers height 85-100cm, with the speed of the course set for 300 meters/minute, Abdulla Ali came first riding his horse Ghuroob. He completed the course in a total time of 31.68 seconds. He was followed by Kate Addison riding her horse The Chief, as she completed the course in total time of 33.18 seconds, while third place went to Nedhal Abdulnabi riding his horse Lucito Fool, where he completed the course in a total time of 34.18 seconds. In the Level 2 Juniors category for barriers height 95-110cm, with the speed of the course set for 300 meters/minute, Kate Addison claimed the first place prize riding her horse The Chief, as she completed the course in a total time of 42.44 seconds. She was followed by Ahmed Isa in the second place riding his horse Osina, who completed the course in a total time of 43.06 seconds, while third place was Nedhal Abdulnabi riding his horse Lucito Fool, and they completed the course in a total time of 43.14 seconds. In the Level 1 Adults category for barriers height 85-100cm with the speed of the course set for 350 meters/minute, Basil Al Dossary claimed the first prize riding his horse Dilmun Dory. He completed the course in a total time of 31.45 seconds. He was followed by Ali Isa who came second riding his horse Alaska in a total time of 31.55 seconds, while Elyas Mohammed riding his horse Ghayth came third, who completed the course in a total time of 45.49 seconds with one fault. In the Level 2 Adults category for the barriers height 105-125 cm, and the speed of the course set for 350 meters/minute, Ahmed Akbar claimed the first place riding his horse F-16, where he completed the course in a total time of 38.75 seconds. He was followed by Muslim Ali who came second, riding his horse Emily, where he completed the course in a total time of 45.76 seconds, while third place was Seyed Mohammad Khalaf riding his horse Denver, where he completed the course in a total time 48.84 seconds with a single fault. BREEF Showjumping Committee Chairman Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and other officials crowned the winners after the end of the competition.
