King of Spain accepts UAE envoy's credentials
Madrid, Dec 17, 2008 (WAM) - Dr Hassa Abdullah Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to Spain yesterday presented her credentials to King Juan Carlos of Spain at the Royal Palace in Madrid.
Dr Hassa Al Otaiba conveyed to the Spanish King greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. She said that the UAE was keen to bolster ties with Spain in all fields.
For his part, the King of Spain praised the strong ties between the two countries.
Dr Hassa Al Otaiba is the first Arab woman to serve as ambassador in Madrid.
