Bahrain condemns terrorist attack in Tunisia

Manama, Mar 18 (BNA) -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain today strongly condemns the terrorist attack that targeted the headquarters of the Parliament of the Republic of Tunisia and the Bardo Museum, claiming lives of a number of tourists and innocent Tunisian citizens. The Ministry warns that the cowardly terrorist attack targets the accelerated tangible efforts being exerted by the brotherly Republic of Tunisia to underpin its stability and security. It also affirms the Kingdom of Bahrain’s support for the necessary crucial measures the Republic of Tunisia takes to secure citizens and residents’ safety and confront extremism and terrorism on land. While the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses sincere condolences of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the relatives and families of the innocent casualties and its wishes of speedy recovery to the injured in this terrorist act, it reiterates rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism regardless of motives or justifications. It also affirms solidarity with the international community’s efforts aiming to root out terrorism and eliminate its manifestations and risks to maintain international security and stability.
