HRH Premier receives German trade delegation

Manama, Mar. 11. (BNA) – His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has called upon trade delegations to convey a message to the decision-makers in their countries that the region is seeking development and economic growth. Those delegations should make it clear that countries of the region are burdened with the wounds of war and terrorism, and have had enough instability, and all they want is a better understanding of their situation and the challenges they are facing, as well as a stronger cooperation with their friends and allies in order to safeguard their security and stability. "This vital part of the world needs a secure and stable atmosphere so that it can enhance development through which its peoples can be advanced," he said. Receiving at the Gudaibiya Palace today a German trade delegation, led by the Chairman of the German Parliament's Committee on Economic Affairs and Energy, and Chairman of the German-Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry Peter Ramsauer, HRH Premier highlighted the importance of Germany's scientific, trade and financial expertise. "In Bahrain, we extend bridges of cooperation with Germany in all fields in order to support the economic, development and investment programmes in the two countries," he said. HRH Premier reviewed with the delegation the Bahraini-German relations of friendship and cooperation, affirming the importance of increasing bilateral trade and launching joint projects between businessmen in the two countries. He called for the need to carry on efforts to deepen bilateral economic relations and strengthen joint cooperation, noting that consolidating economic ties and exchanging visits of economic delegations will create suitable conditions for boosting bilateral cooperation. HRH the Prime Minister said the delegation's visit would give bilateral cooperation a new impetus, expressing hope that such visits will increase opportunities for enhancing Bahraini-German investment and economic collaboration. He said the kingdom was looking forward to extending strong and advanced bridges of cooperation with countries of the European Union, including Germany, expressing satisfaction of the steps taken by Bahrain over the past years to strengthen ties with Germany. Peter Ramsauer expressed his country's keenness on strengthening the existing relations and cooperation with Bahrain in the economic and investment fields. He praised HRH Premier's desire to bolster ties with his country and open up new horizons of cooperation with it.
