Judiciary council deposes three judges

SANA'A, Dec. 15 (Saba)-The Supreme Judiciary Council, headed by
Issam Assamawi, approved deposing three judges for violating their
duties.

These violations included refusing accepting issues which led to
freezing them, allowing to other unconcerned judges to join jury,
receiving wages for visiting the places of dispute and imprisoning
some of those who have issues in the courts illegally and having
financial funds for their release.

Keeping files of some issues and some materials deposited in the
court and delaying submitting them to their owners are also other
violations registered against these judges.

On the other hand, the council finished studying the project of
documenting law presented by minister of justice and referred it to
minister of justice for study in the light of observations made by
the council's members and completing constitutional measures
required for their approval.

The council also agreed on the interim resignations presented by
some judges for being able to run in the forthcoming parliamentary
elections.

The council also listened to a number of claims raised by some
judges for monitions directed against them by minister of justice
and referred these cases to a committee for investigating them.
