Vietnam Airlines offers online flight booking

Hanoi (VNA) - National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines launched its new website on
Dec. 15, enabling its passengers to book domestic flights online.

The airline said the opening of the website, at www.vietnamairlines.com , is
part of its commitments to improve the quality of services.

As of February 2009, online booking will be applied to international flights, the
air carrier said.

The website, which is now at the experimental stage, is updated several times a day
with flight schedule and other information on the airline's products and services.

It is expected to be completed in June 2009 to enable the airline to offer other
services, including online payment and online change of schedule.

Vietnam Airlines said it planned to accept payment with the five most popular
kinds of credit cards, namely VISA, MASTER, AMEX, JCB and Diner Club.-Enditem
