Saif bin Zayed stresses need for concerted efforts to combat organised crimes

Abu Dhabi, Dec 16, 2008 (WAM) - In view of the constantly changing nature of organised crimes, there is a need for even greater and concerted efforts on the local , regional and international levels to combat the threat of organized, according to HH General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior.

In a statement on the occasion of the convening of the second International Conference on Combating Cyber Crimes, Sheikh Saif said cyber crimes were fast outmanoeuvring the conventional legal regimes and legislation. These laws, he said, must keep pace with the changing nature of crimes. Sheikh Saif also stressed the role of awareness as means to combating crimes.
