L.A. Dodgers pitcher Park Chan-ho moves to Phillies
SEOUL, Dec. 15 (Yonhap) -- South Korean Park Chan-ho of the Los Angeles Dodgers said Monday he has signed with the Philadelphia Phillies to play with the winner of this year's World Series for one year.
In a press conference at a Seoul hotel, Park said he chose to pitch for the
Phillies because the team has been positive in recruiting him and because the
team won the World Series. Park said he had contact with five teams.
Park debuted in the U.S. pro baseball Major League with the L.A. Dodgers in 1994
and played with the Texas Rangers, the San Diego Padres and the New York Mets
before returning to the Dodgers again this year.
