Iran welcomes opening European diplomatic office in Tehran
Tehran, Dec 15, IRNA - Iran voiced readiness on Monday to open a diplomatic office for Europe in Tehran.
Tehran has positively responded to the approval of the Council of
Europe on opening of the office, Foreign Ministry spokesman, Hassan
Qashqavi, told reporters at his weekly press conference.
Asked why the issue has not been reported earlier, the spokesman said
it was not secret. The decision to open an office in Tehran has been
made by the European Council of Ministers.
