Ghazwan claims Faisal bin Rashid Showjumping Grand Prix
Manama, Feb14(BNA) Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) President Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa crowned Sami Ghazwan as the champion of BREEF President's Showjumping Championship, sponsored by Abdulkarim Jahrami Contracting Company, which being held yesterday at the Military Sports Association Field in Riffa.
Ghazwan succeeded to win the most important competition of the day, clinching the grand prix contest for the barriers height 120-130cm with the track speed set for 350 meter/minute. He completed the track riding his horse Fairooz in a total time of 65.76 seconds with four faults.
He was followed by Salman Faraj riding his horse My Precious, finishing the track in a total time of 73.80 seconds with five faults, while third place was Ahmed Mansoor riding his horse Edward Du Sud in a total time of 74.78 seconds with five faults. Fourth place went to Basil Al Dossary riding his horse Dilmun Airforce One and in a total time of 67.55 seconds with eight faults.
In the juniors level 1 category for barriers height 95-85cm with the track speed set for 300meter/minute, Mayoof Al Rumaihi came first riding his horse Granus, finishing the course in a total time 29.58 seconds. Second place was Fahad Hilal Al Khatri riding his horse My Baby, finishing the track in a total time of 32.64 seconds, while third place was Kate Addison riding her horse West Wind in a total time of 35.50 seconds. Fourth place was Georgia Sim riding her horse Lucy in a total time of 40.30 seconds.
In the juniors level 2 for barriers height 95-110cm with track speed set for 300meter/minute, Kate Addison won the first place riding her horse The Chief, finishing the course in a total time of 29.14 seconds. Second place went to Mayoof Al Rumaihi riding his horse Mashallah, as he finished the course in a total time of 29.78 seconds, while third place was Hussain Mohammed Dadallah riding his horse Dilmun Arko, as he finished the track in a total time of 30.01 seconds. Fourth place was Fahad Hilal Al khatri riding his horse Venous, as he completed the track in a total time of 34.23 seconds.
In the adults level 1 for barriers height 85-95cm with track speed set for 350meter/minute, Basil Al Dossary came first riding his horse Dilmun Manny, as he completed the track in a total time of 26.01 seconds. He was followed by Ali Abdulrasool who came second, riding his horse Horse Pride Chilli in a total time of 26.33. Third place was Hassan Jaffar riding his horse Zain Al Batel completing the track in a total time of 29.08 seconds, while Basil Al Dossary came fourth riding his horse Dilmun Dory in a total time of 29.47 seconds.
In the adults level 2 for barriers height 95-105cm with the track speed set for 350meter/minute, Sadiq Abbas came first riding his horse Well Kept Secrets, finishing the track in a total time of 33.27 seconds. He was followed by Nada Abdulghaffar who came second riding her horse Dubai Dancer, finishing the course in a total time of 35.42 seconds, while third place was Mohammed Jassim riding his horse Alaska, finishing the course in a total time 35.49 seconds.
In the adults level 3 category for barriers height 110-120cm with the track speed set for 350meter/minute, Basel Al Dossary came first riding his horse Dilmin Dory. He finished the track in a total time of 45.18 seconds. He was followed by Saber Faraj riding his horse BDF Bahrain who completed the track in a total time of 47.69 seconds, while third place was Tawfiq Al Qattam riding his horse Ted in a total time of 52.13 seconds. Fourth place was Ahmed Akbar riding his horse F16, finished the course in a total time of 54.56 seconds.
