HM the King: NAC a roadmap for Bahrain's bright future
Manama, Feb. 14 (BNA)-- His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Sakhir Palace today His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, sons, Representatives Council Speaker Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Mulla, Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, President of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Cassation Court Advisor Salem bin Mohammed Al Kuwari and senior members of the royal family, marking the 14th anniversary of the National Action Charter.
HM the King exchanged with them congratulations on the national occasion which represents a quality change in the history of Bahrain as it ushered in a new phase of national work and in bolstering democracy. He stressed that the NAC paved the way for Bahrain's bright future and promoted the kingdom's status at the regional, Arab and international levels. He affirmed that the NAC will always remain the basis of the reform and democratic march.
HM the King lauded the Bahraini citizens' performance and dedication in fulfilling their duties, commending the achievements made by Bahraini men and women in taking up leading posts in many Arab and regional organisations.
"Bahrain is working relentlessly to achieve the aspirations for stronger national unity and cohesion," HM affirmed, pointing out that the reform and development march is going on unabated.
On their part, the audience extended congratulations to HM the King on the national occasion, lauding Bahrain's civlisational and development achievements in all filed as well as the kingdom's advanced status at the regional, Arab and international levels.
They also praised the tremendous efforts of His Majesty the King and his pioneering achievements to cement relations with brotherly and friendly countries and promote the kingdom's honourable stances.
HM the King hosted a lunch banquet on the occasion. Then, he watched a photo gallery about the rulers of Bahrain since 1869 until the prosperous era of HM the King which was prepared by the Royal Family Council. He listened to an account by the council's Director General Shaikh Ibrahim bin Khalid Al Khalifa on the exhibition.
Shaikh Ibrahim presented HM the King, HRH the Premier and HRH the Crown Prince with commemorative gifts.
