Follow-up minister receives GCC delegation

Manama, Feb12(BNA)Minister of Follow-up Affairs Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al- Mutawa today received a delegation from GCC Society for History and Archeology, headed by its Chairman Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Muzainy, currently on a visit to Bahrain. Al- Mutawa hailed the society's efforts to highlight GCC historical and modern landmarks, promote cultural relations and strengthen bonds of cooperation. He lauded the society's role in revitalising cultural and research movement as well as preserving GCC historical and cultural heritage and monuments. He affirmed the importance of maintaining the common identity and history of the GCC states, in order to support Arab and Islamic cultural movement. Al-Muzainy expressed thanks and appreciation for Bahrain's contributions in promoting the cultural movement at the GCC level and encouraging research in the fields of history and archeology.
