Queensland's deputy premier Paul Lucas has been taken to hospital after fainting
while moving furniture.
A spokesman for Mr Lucas, who is also the Minister for Infrastructure and Planning,
said Mr Lucas was admitted to the Mater Private Hospital for routine tests.
He said Mr Lucas was moving furniture when he "briefly fainted" late on Monday
afternoon.
"Mr Lucas is fine and the Queensland Ambulance Service has advised Mr Lucas' vital
signs are normal," the spokesman said.
Mr Lucas, 46, was on leave and will remain on leave until the end of the month.
John Mickel will continue to serve as acting Minister for Infrastructure and
Planning during this time.
