Iran crowned champion of Asia Cup hockey tournament

Tehran, Dec 15, IRNA Iran's national hockey team was crowned champion in the 1st Men's
Indoor Hockey Tournament in Malaysia on Sunday.

Iran defeated Malaysia 3-2 in the final game.

Iran had earlier defeated Thailand, Uzbekistan and Singapore 8-1, 11-1
and 13-0 respectively.

The Asia Cup hockey tournament was held in Ipoh, Malaysia from December 10-15.

The teams from Iran, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Uzbekistan took
part in the competitions.

The Iranian team which currently holds the gold medal of the 2nd Macau
Asian Indoor Games announced includes: Reza Fatahi, Yaghoub Bahrami,
Mohammad Mehdi Malek Ahmadi, Rouhollah Roufi, Mohammad Karimi, Javad
Shabani, Behdad Beiranvand, Masoud Bohlouli, Amir Chahrdoli, Reza
Abbasi, Reza Norouz-Zadeh and Mehrdad Dolatabadi Farahani.
