Bahrain-UK military cooperation discussed

Manama, Feb. 11. (BNA) -- Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa met here today the British Chief of the Naval staff of the Royal Navy Admiral Sir George Zambellas and his accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to Bahrain. The BDF Commander-in-Chief lauded the deep-rooted Bahraini-British ties, highlighting the cooperation in all fields, especially regarding exchange of expertise and military collaboration. He commended the exerted bilateral efforts regarding military coordination and defence cooperation. He expressed hope that joint military coordination and cooperation will continue in order to boost friendly bilateral relations. BDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Dheyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, Director of Military Security Major-General Hassan Mohammed Saad, Inspector-General Major-General Abdullah Hassan Al Nuaimi, Planning, Organisation and Technology Director Rear Admiral Yusuf Ahmed Mal-Allah, Commander of the Royal Bahrain Naval Force (RBNF) Commodore Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Director of Military Works Brigadier Abdulaziz bin Fadhel Al-Buainain, British Ambassador to Bahrain Iain Lindsay and a number of senior BDF officers were present.
