Shura condemns terrorist attack on policemen

Manama, Feb. 8 -- (BNA): The Shura Council strongly condemned Saturday's terrorist attack in Al-Mukharqa area that targeted on-duty policemen and resulted in injuries to 3 of policemen, one of them seriously wounded. The Council issued a statement in which it has deplored the terrorist attack committed by a group of terrorists who hurled Molotov cocktail bombs targeting on-duty policemen on Isa Al Kabeer Avenue in Manama. The Council voiced its absolute rejection of such terrorist acts which aim to jeopardize the Kingdom's security and stability and which constitute a direct infringement on the rights, freedoms and safety of citizens and residents. The Council urged all to comply with law and order and to shun violence and sabotage that targeted the safety of security personnel who protect the homeland and its citizens, private and public property and also aimed to spread fear and panic among safe and secure people. The Council urged all citizens to stand united in order to safeguard the safety of the homeland and its citizens, national fabric cohesion, compliance with the law and order, take express stances and direct actions and stand united against violence and its perpetrators.
