Yemen, Japan discuss combating piracy

SANA'A, Dec. 13 (Saba) - Yemen and Japan discussed here on Saturday
issues regarding fighting against piracy and terrorism.

Deputy Primer for Defense and Security Affairs Rashad al-Alimi held
talks with a delegation from the Japanese Coastguard on cooperation
relations in coastguard area.

Al-Alimi praised assistance presented by Japan for the Yemeni
coastguards, pointing out the need to strengthen cooperation in
future, particularly in the technical, training fields.

For his part, the head of Japanese delegation affirmed readiness of
Japan to support the Coastguard Authority to serve the joint
interests.
