Air Arabia ‘Low-cost Carrier of the Year’

Abu Dhabi, Dec 14, 2008 (WAM) - Air Arabia has been named the ‘Low-Cost Carrier of the Year’ for the second consecutive year at the Aviation Business Awards 2008.
This honour comes in recognition of Air Arabia’s exceptional level of services, growth, outstanding performance and reliability, officials said in a press release on Saturday.
The event took place recently at Le Royal Meridien Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
Adel Ali, member of the Board and chief executive officer of Air Arabia, said, “We are delighted to have been named ‘Best Low-Cost Carrier in the Middle East and North Africa,’ by the Aviation Business Awards 2008.
“Winning this award for the second consecutive year reinforces Air Arabia’s commitment to quality and excellence in customer service.
“We were among the first to recognise and fill the market need for a low-cost carrier that delivered the highest level of service to its passengers.
“Air Arabia attributes this award to our 10 million plus passengers from across the Gulf and the wider world, who have flown with us since our inception in 2003.”
Also, in May this year, Air Arabia received the gold award in the best airline category at the MENA Travel Awards.
