Mohammed Bin Rashid takes part in Giants Endurance Challenge

Dubai, Dec 14, 2008 (WAM) - Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Price of Dubai, and H.H Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs yesterday took part in the inaugural round of three-round Giants Endurance Challenge (Round 1) at the Emirates International Endurance Village in Al Wathba.

Winner of the first round of the 5-leg 120-kilometre Giants Ride which started at 6 am was Saeed Bin Hazeem followed in the second place by Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed while Ahmed Ali Bin Harmash and Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid took the fourth and fifth places respectively.

Participants included Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and Bahrain's Sheikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Upon directions from H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid and H.H Sheikh Mansour, the Giants Endurance Challenge will be run in 3 rounds and five stages.

Round 2 will be held on January 10th. in Bahrain while the 3rd will be hosted by Seeh Al Salm Village in Dubai.
