Iran-Australia cooperate on construction of a Zinc plant
Tehran, Dec 13, IRNA - Iran Mines Product Company and Australian Union Resources Company has
agreed on construction of a Zinc production plant with the annual
capacity of 300,000 tons in Yazd.
Managing Director of Iranian company Ardeshir Saad Mohammadi said
primary agreement has been finalized and the official agreement will
be signed in two months.
The plant is to process Zinc and to produce billet, Mohammadi added.
He continued, "The Australian company is to construct the plant in 3
phases each of which can produce 100,000 tons annually.
The project costs twelve thousand billion rials, Mohammadi estimated.
