Vietnam to train Lao officials in politics and administration
Hanoi (VNA) - The Ho Chi Minh National Politics and Administration Academy (HNPAA) is to offer 10 PhD places and 20 MA places per year to Lao officials wishing to pursue a career in politics and public administration.
To this effect, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by the HNPAA
Director, Prof. Le Huu Nghia, and Prof. Dr Kekeo Khaykhamphethoun, Director
of the Lao National Politics and Administration Academy (LNPAA) in
Vientiane on December 10.
Under the MoU, the HNPAA will annually offer a course in higher politics for
25 Lao officials, as well as short-term classes for political and
administrative teachers.
The Vietnamese side will reserve 80 places for Lao students in five subjects
at the academy and will also deploy experts to Laos to lend assistance
to the neighbouring country.
In return, the Lao side will offer courses teaching the Lao language to
Vietnamese students.-Enditem
