BEIJING, Dec. 11 (Yonhap) -- The following is a gist of the chairman's statement issued Thursday after chief delegates of the six-party framework on North Korea's nuclear programs wrapped up their talks in Beijing.
The six parties:

second-phase actions -- disablement of the North's nuclear facilities, the
North's declaration on nuclear facilities and economic and energy assistance.
-- agreed to implement in parallel the disablement of the Yongbyon nuclear
facilities and the provision of economic and energy assistance equivalent to 1
million tons of heavy fuel oil.
-- reaffirmed the goal of the verifiable denuclearization of the Korean
Peninsula, evaluated the progress made toward agreement on terms of verification
and welcomed assistance and consultancy from the IAEA in the course of
verification.
-- agreed to hold a meeting of the working group on peace and security in
Northeast Asia, hosted by Russia, in February next year.
-- encouraged sincere efforts by the North and the United States as well as the
North and Japan toward resolving the issues of concern and normalizing their
