AZERBAIJANI OMBUDSWOMAN HOLDS ROUND-TABLE DISCUSSION
Baku, 11 December,(AzerTAj)Azerbaijani human rights commissioner Elmira Suleymanova
held a round-table discussion in Ataturk Center, on December 10 dedicated to the
International Human Rights Day and 60th anniversary of Universal Declaration of
Human Rights.
The event was organized by UN Development Program (UNDP), High Commissioner for
Human Rights (OHCHR) and UN Department of Public Information (DPI).
Mrs. Suleymanova told of works done in the country to protect human rights. She read
out a congratulatory letter on the occasion of Human Rights Day.
UN resident coordinator for Azerbaijan Bruno Pouezat, Azerbaijani representative of
the High Commissioner for Human Rights Teymur Malikaslanov, Deputy Minister of
Education Irada Huseynova, representatives of the international organizations, MPs
were present at the meeting.
