NIHR condemns terror bomb attacks
Manama, Dec. 10 – (BNA): The National Institution of Human Rights (NIHR) condemned the terror bomb attack which resulted in the martyrdom of policeman Ali Mohamed Ali while on duty in Damistan and Karzakan which killed a Bahraini citizen and injured an Asian national.
The National Institution of Human Rights deplored such unlawful acts target the lives of security personnel and civilians and aim to jeopardize security, stability and civic peace.
The National Institution has expressed its trust in the efficacy of security agencies to stop street violence and strife-mongering calls that instigate criminal acts of violence in contravention of the law. The Institution has urged all peaceful citizens to be alert, uphold national unity and shun terroristic ideology and practice and condemn both tragic incidents and to utterly shun all forms of violence, exercise self-restraint, reinforce the values of peaceful co-existence amongst all the diverse components of the Bahraini society.
The Institution urged the competent bodies to promptly open an independent investigation in the two tragic incidents and to hold accountable and to impeach the killers of the policeman and the civilian and the injurers of the Asian national.
The NIHR offered sincere condolences and sympathy to the family, friends and colleagues of the martyred policeman and civilian, wishing the wounded Asian man quick healing and wellness.
