US Embassy condemns Demistan's terror bomb attack

Manama, Dec. 9 -- (BNA): The Embassy of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Bahrain has issued the following statement condemning yesterday's terror bomb attack in Demistan area: We strongly condemn yesterday’s despicable bomb attack in Demistan that killed a police officer. We extend our deepest condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of the slain officer. Our hearts go out to those who will find themselves in mourning as a result of this heinous crime. Murderous attacks like yesterday’s are completely unjustified. We stress the importance of calm and we urge all concerned to do everything in their power to prevent further violence. It is incumbent upon all segments of Bahraini society to contribute to a climate conducive for reconciliation and to refrain from acts of violence and incitement.
