Dubai to host event for aspiring filmmakers

Dubai, Dec 10, 2008 (WAM) - The Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) will host an open day for aspiring filmmakers on December 17, to learn about options in film education and how to break into the competitive film industry according to a report in “Gulf News.” From 10am to 11am, regional film schools will host an open day in the festival's Industry Office.
Universities and tertiary-level institutes that offer film and other media-related programmes will have desks at the festival centre and students may speak with them about the various courses on offer. The open day will be followed by an Industry Panel on laying the foundation for a career in film.
