Ombudsman receives French Ambassador

Manama, Nov. 18. (BNA) – Ombudsman Nawaf Mohammed Al-Ma'awda received here today the newly-appointed French Ambassador to Bahrain Bernard Regnauld-Fabre. Al-Ma'awda said the visit was within the framework of the Office of the Ombudsman's contacts with international officials and diplomats to inform them about its role in consolidating human rights. He discussed with the ambassador areas of joint cooperation, and ways of availing of France's experience in the field of the Ombudsman's work, noting that a delegation from the Office of the Ombudsman made a work tour in France in 2013. Al-Ma'awda wished Ambassador Regnauld-Fabre success in enhancing the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation. Senior Advisor at the French Embassy Jean-Paul Ghoneim, Deputy Ombudsman Osama Al-Asfoor and Director of International Cooperation and Development Ghada Hameed Habib attended the meeting.
