PRESIDENT: WATCH CORRUPTION-PRONE SECTORS

Jakarta, Dec 9 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono called on law enforcers and other government authorities to watch eight government sectors prone to corruption and collusion.

"All the law enforcers and the corruption watch agencies need to devote special attention and supervision to sectors most prone to offences and violations," the President said here on Tuesday during a commemoration of World Anti Corruption Day.
The eight sectors the supply of goods and services, tax and excise, recruitment of civil servants and private employees.
"Those sectors can save a great deal of the state's financial sector," the President said, adding that there need to be a strong commitment from those in high positions withoug discrimination.
Transparency and accountability also support corruption eradication, said President.
"There are many obstacles to deal with, so a strong mentality is needed," President Yudhoyono said.
