Queen Rania receives SCW Secretary-General

Amman, Nov16(BNA)Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdulla, wife of the Jordanian monarch, has today received Supreme Council for Women (SCW) Secretary-General Hala Al-Ansari, who conveyed greetings from Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and (SCW) President. The meeting was on the sidelines of a two-day forum themed "Social Gender, Law and Public Policies in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA)", which will open tomorrow (November17) under the patronage of HM Queen Rania. Ms. Ansari hailed the efforts of Queen Rania to promote girls' education as honorary chairperson of the UN Girls' Education Initiative and founder of the Jordan Valley Institution. The SCW Secretary-General will take part tomorrow (November17) in the aforementioned high-profile symposium. She will also address the forum marking the launch of the report which will be released by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the he Center of Arab Women for Training and Research (CAWTAR).
