RoK journalists visit Mekong Delta city

Can Tho (VNA) - Officials of the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho ,
on Dec. 8, received a delegation of representatives from the Journalists
Association of Korea (JAK) who are on a visit to the city to learn about its
socio-economic conditions.

At the meeting, the municipal People's Committee officials expressed their
hopes that the journalists will help enhance the cooperation between Can Tho
and the Republic of Korea in the fields of economics, graduate and
post-graduate education, and labour export.

The delegation, led by JAK Vice Chairman Young Lee, worked with various
local agencies to have a look into its social welfare policies and
investment in education and health sectors.

They have also made a sightseeing tour of the Mekong River and
attended a boat race of the Khmer ethnic group.-Enditem
