AZERBAIJAN PREMIER SIGNS BOOK OF CONDOLENCE FOR PATRIARCH ALEXY II
Baku, 09 December,(AzerTAj)Azerbaijan`s Prime Minister Artur Rasizade has today signed a book of condolence for Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Alexy II at the Russian Embassy in Baku.
The book was available to sign between 9.00 and 13.00 as mourners, including
Azerbaijan`s state and government officials, foreign ambassadors and representatives
of the general public queued at the embassy to pay respect to Alexy II.
Russian Ambassador Vasily Istratov told journalists here that the Patriarch “greatly
contributed to developing traditionally friendly relations and strengthening mutual
understanding and trust between the people of Azerbaijan and Russia”.
Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Alexy II died last Friday at his residence in
Peredelkino, to the southwest of Moscow.
