UNICEF TO ORGANIZE WORKSHOP ON BIRD FLU IN BANTEN
Serang, Banten Province, Dec. 9 (ANTARA) - The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICF) will hold a workshop on bird flu for journalists in Banten, from December 16 to 18, 2008.
"The media have a responsibility to report to the public accurately, including on bird flu and its risks," Vet. Indardi of the workshop's organizing committee said here on Tuesday.
The workshop will be organized in cooperation with the Banten provincial agriculture and animal husbandry service. Some 25 journalists from print, electronic and on-line media will participate in the workshop.
"The workshop is expected to help improve the knowledge of journalists on bird flu," he said.
