Museum publishes English language journal on Korean art and archeology
SEOUL, Dec. 9 (Yonhap) -- A South Korean museum announced on Tuesday that it has published an English language journal focusing on Korean art and archeology.
The National Museum of Korea published the 212-page collection of seven
dissertations on the remains of early Korean civilizations, said Lee Hyun-ju, a
public relations official at the museum.
The publication is the second such to be released by the museum as part of "The
International Journal of Korean Art and Archaeology." The first volume was
published in December 2007.
The journal contains writings by Korean and Japanese scholars on artifacts dating
to the ancient Goryeo era (918-1392), as well as from the Joseon era (1392-1910).
The aim of the series is to broaden awareness of Korean art and archeology beyond
Korea, Lee said.
