Iran protest to Germany over MKO ringleader visit

Tehran, Dec 8, IRNA Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission
Alaeddin Boroujerdi protested to Germany over terrorist Mujahideen
Khalq organization ringleader's visit to the country.

In a meeting on Sunday with German Ambassador to Iran Herbert
Honsowitz, the Iranian MP stressed that the move was unjustifiable.

He added that it was not good for Tehran-Berlin relations.

Hosting terrorist MKO ringleader would provoke Iranians sentiments
against Germany, Boroujerdi added.

His was referring to the late November visit to Germany by ringleader
of terrorist MKO Maryam Rajavi.

The notorious MKO is designated as a terrorist organization by several
countries including the US and EU.

The MKO has been involved in terrorist operations against Iran
following the Islamic Revolution of 1979 and during the Iraq-Iran war
(1980-88).

The terrorist group is also known for supporting Iraq's former
dictator Saddam Hussein and its collaborating in the massacre of Iraqi
Kurdistan population under Saddam Hussein.

The German ambassador stressed that Berlin has no contact with the
terrorist group and would do so in the future.
