Opening of six-way talks to be delayed by one hour
BEIJING, Dec. 8 (Yonhap) -- A new round of six-way talks on North Korea's nuclear
program will open at 4 p.m. (Beijing time) on Monday, one hour later than
scheduled, due to protracted preparatory bilateral meetings among member
countries, a South Korean official said.
Chief envoys from the two Koreas held a one-hour meeting at the Chinese state
guest house Daioyutai to discuss the agenda at the broader disarmament talks, the
official added, asking not to be named.
The other participants are the United States, China, Russia, and Japan.
Host China earlier informed South Korea of a plan to open the new round at 3 p.m.
on Monday.
