S. Korea to compete in regional women's hockey competition

SEOUL, Dec. 8 (Yonhap) -- South Korea will take part in an Asian women's junior
hockey championship starting this weekend in Malaysia, the sport's governing body
here said.
The nine-day competition, which starts on Saturday, draws nine nations, including
Japan and China, and allows top three finishers to enter next year's World Cup
meet in the United States, the Korea Hockey Association said on its Web site.
South Korea will compete in Group B along with Taiwan, India and Singapore, and
the team will fly to Malaysia on Wednesday, the association said.
