S. Korea shares economic advice on the Web

SEOUL, Dec. 8 (Yonhap) -- South Korea said Monday that it has launched an
English-language Web site aimed at sharing the nation's economic growth
experience with other developing countries.
The site (www.ksp.go.kr) was designed to provide the so-called "knowledge sharing
program" (KSP) on-line to those interested in South Korea's economic growth, the
Ministry of Strategy and Finance said in a press release.
Under the KSP, launched in 2004, 13 developing countries have received free
business consultations from South Korea based on the nation's economic growth
experience. For 2009, the government set aside 5 billion won (US$3.4 million) for
the program, the ministry said.
Through the Web site, jointly launched by the state-run think tank Korea
Development Institute, developing countries can apply for the program and receive
consultations more easily than off-line procedures that can sometimes cause
inconveniences, according to the ministry.
