Denpasar, Indonesia, Dec 7 (ANTARA) - The development of marine tourism in tandem with the environment conservation is expected to be prime product of tourism in Bali in the future, thus functioning as a special attraction to tourists.
"The maritime tourism is an effort to diversify and to add more attractions to the tourists, so that they will never get bored even they have been to Bali for several times," Bali Tourism Office Head, I Gde Nurjaya said here on Sunday.
The development of maritime tourism is hoped to increase the quality of tourism and products by concentrating on the balanced ecosystem, he said.
"The balance only can be reached if we can build the tourism which always take the environment into account," Nurjaya said, adding that diversifying tourism products is very important to keep a balanced and diverse ecology.
This effort could at the same time increase, even the distribution of tourists in Bali are more concentrated in Badung and Denpasar, said Nurjaya.
Many small islands like in Nusa Lembongan island and Menjangan islands have beautiful fauna and flora to be introduced together with the development of maritime tourism.
