Iran's ambassador meets with Lebanese PM, Industry Minister

Beirut, Dec 7, IRNA - Iran's Ambassador to Beirut met with Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora and Lebanese Minister of Industry Ghazi Zaatar here Saturday.

After the meetings, Mohammad Reza Sheybani told IRNA that the agreed
issues in the recent visit of Lebanese President Michel Soleiman to
Iran and ways to execute them were the topics of the discussions with
the Lebanese PM and Industry minister.

In the meeting with Prime Minister Siniora, the necessity of
establishment and activating joint economic commission between Iran
and Lebanon as well as upcoming visit of Iran's Housing Minister
Mohammad Saeedi Kia to Lebanon were discussed.

The ambassador expressed hope that Tehran and Beirut would witness
working visits of both countries officials to each other country.

He added, "Iran welcomes Lebanese officials' visit to Iran, especially
Prime minister's."
They also talked about developments in Palestine and the necessity of
Arab and Islamic countries efforts to break cruel blockade of Gaza.

In the meeting with Lebanese Industry Minister Ghazi Zaatar, he
appreciated continuation of Iran's support for Lebanon and underlined
strengthening bilateral ties in direction of both countries interests.

The Lebanese minister also received an invitation letter from Iran's
Industry and Mines Minister Ali Akbar Mehrabian.
